A Mableton for You
I moved to Mableton with my husband in 2014 when we bought our first home together, and it didn't take long for me to fall in love with my community!
I graduated cum laude from Judson College in 2007 with dual majors in chemistry and biology. My professional background is in analytical chemistry, quality control, and regulatory affairs in pharmaceuticals.
I am dedicated to environmental conservation, sustainability, and community beautification, regularly volunteering in community cleanups to keep litter out of our parks, streams, and roadways. I support local food systems by volunteering at two community gardens, as well as hosted a free educational class about backyard chicken keeping.
I have served as a poll worker and poll manager, participated in Cobb County Watershed Stewardship program to clean Nickajack Creek, and volunteer with the Georgia Native Plant Society to remove invasive privet from Heritage Park. In 2021 I was awarded Volunteer of the Year by Friends of Mableton, and in 2025 I received the Volunteer of the Year award from Keep Cobb Beautiful. I have current membership with the South Cobb Lions Club and the Austell Community Taskforce.
Even before Mableton was incorporated, I was deeply engaged in my community, founding a garden club that hosted two plant exchanges, and spearheading community events like Very Merry Mableton on the Square. After winning my election, I have continued to reliably serve my community. I fulfilled my campaign promise to donate half my city council salary back to the organizations and nonprofits serving Mableton. In addition to demonstrating my commitment to my community outside of city council meetings through my volunteer work, I have demonstrated my commitment inside our city council meetings. I have attended every work session and city council meeting in 2024 and 2025 consistently advocating for my district.
As I continue my work on the Mableton City Council, my goals are to increase community engagement, prioritize smart growth while listening to the desires of residents, and to promote sustainability and beautification initiatives. I will continue to advocate for fiscal responsibility and transparency in local government, and strive to make Mableton a clean, safe, and thriving city for families, businesses, and for you!
